A new 'Object' video on fairground art and signwriting featuring Joby Carter

I’m back with a fresh episode of my Object video series (likely the last one of the year)! This one features the hilarious and talented Joby Carter, whose family operated the vintage fun fair Carters Steam Fair until it stopped touring in 2022. His parents established the fair in 1977, filling it with gorgeous hand-painted Victorian rides, vehicles, and signs. Now Joby works to spread his knowledge and love of traditional signwriting through courses, books, and special events. I met with him (and his adorable dog Goofy) to find out about his work, and I had a great time laughing and learning. I hope you will too. 🎡

A related and important side note:

So far, I’ve released three episodes of Object, which was the original challenge I set for myself. This is a self-funded, self-produced project that I’ve loved doing and would love to continue doing, but it is important to check in with you guys now that I’ve reached this point to see what you think.
